Welcome to the Summer 2008 issue of Healthpoint. In this edition, we’re featuring stories to help you and your family prepare for the start of a new school year. I hope you find it helpful on many levels.

Providing timely and useful healthcare information is just one of the ways we hope to contribute to the overall health of this community, and being a good neighbor has always been an important mission at our hospital.  Of course, our first priority is to deliver high quality healthcare, but we also contribute to this community in many other tangible ways.

We enjoy our role as one of the area’s largest employers, providing jobs for more than ______ area residents, along with an annual payroll in excess of $ ___________. In addition, our hospital contributes to the economic well-being of this community through our role as taxpayer. In 2007 alone, we contributed $ ____________ in combined local property taxes and local sales taxes.

We are also proud to report that helping those in need continues to be a top priority for our hospital. In addition to raising the level of healthcare by investing in new technology and constantly improving our hospital facility, last year we provided $ ________ in uncompensated care for those who were unable to pay.
